Eastern Academy Student Writes A Well Written Letter To “The Telegram”

On February 21, 2020, Eastern Academy student, Patrick Antle, wrote a letter for “The Telegram” entitled “Time for a Newfoundland and Labrador agenda … not a Liberal or Tory one”.

Newfoundland and Labrador was once a province with vibrant life and unique character.

However, the “Cod Moratorium of 1992”, perceived bad choices from our governments, resource mismanagement, and nepotism have pushed this province known for its vibrant, friendly, sociable, and heritage based culture on a brink of financial ruin.

According to Antle, the people of Newfoundland and Labrador don’t necessarily want short term fixes, but long term vision for a brighter future.
